Western Massachusetts Communities Protecting QuabbinReservoir Call for Equitable Partnership

Stunning organizing in the form of an open letter to the people of eastern Massachusetts, from the Quabbin Watershed Stewards — a growing group of people organizing in the communities that ring the Quabbin Reservoir, including Belchertown, Hardwick, Ludlow, New Salem, Orange, Pelham, Petersham, Phillipston, Shutesbury, Ware and Wendell.

With growing urgency, they are taking their case directly to the people of eastern Mass who drink the pristine water they protect yet they themselves cannot drink. They are hoping to raise awareness and support.

These good folks are deeply dedicated and tireless in their stewardship of the region and hell-bent for regional equity and fair recompense for their ongoing service and sacrifice.
