- What in the heck is happening with the Gilbertville Trust and the demolition of Mary Lane Hospital. Our Select Board Chair is supposed to be working on this, but nothing seems to be happening.
- The Select Board Chair does not log into the email account for the Select Board because he does not know how. He also says it takes him a long time to write a single email. If he cannot even access or write emails, why is he in charge of our town?
- The Select Board Chair as asleep at the wheel for personel oversight. Since our Town Administrator was hired over a year ago, no review has been conducted. This is specifically in the contract for the position. Why is the Select Board Chair not doing his job?
Update, October 2026: This page describes then-Chair Eric Vollheim, who served from May 2025 until the Select Board’s May 4, 2026 reorganization, when Jeffrey Schaaf was elected Chair, with William Tinker continuing as Vice Chair. The complaint about the Town Administrator’s performance review is independently corroborated: at the July 13, 2026 Select Board meeting, Select Board member William Tinker stated on the record that Justine Caggiano’s contractually-required annual performance evaluation had still never been placed on the Select Board’s agenda. We have not confirmed whether this has since been completed under the new Chair.
